Terms of use
These terms cover your use of the Folio app and the AI analyst service it connects to. By using Folio you agree to them.
What Folio is
Folio is a tool for reading, editing and designing SQLite databases on your own device, with an optional AI analyst that suggests SQL.
Your files are your responsibility
Folio can modify and delete data in the database files you open. It runs the SQL you ask it to run. There is no undo for a statement that has been executed, and Folio does not back your files up. Keep a copy of anything you cannot afford to lose before editing it. You are responsible for the files you open and the statements you run.
The AI analyst
The analyst is generated by a language model. Its answers and the SQL it writes can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable for your data. Read any statement before you run it, especially one that writes or deletes. You are responsible for what you choose to run.
The analyst has usage limits, and we may change them, throttle abusive use, or suspend access to the service for an installation that is being used to attack or overload it.
Subscriptions
Folio Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your store account settings; uninstalling the app does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by us.
Acceptable use
Do not use Folio to break the law, to access data you have no right to, or to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer or extract credentials from the analyst service.
No warranty
Folio is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the analyst will be available at any given moment.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost or corrupted data, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of Folio. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
These terms may change. The current version is always the one published at this address.
